AI Interview Policy

Before You Begin

This interview is conducted by an AI assistant on behalf of Octopusapp Inc. dba Jobber (“Jobber”). If you need accommodations, please close this window and contact Jobber directly. By continuing, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

Recording and transcription. This interview will be both audio and video recorded and transcribed. Recording does not begin until you begin the interview.

What is collected. The following data is collected during this interview: 

• Recordings of your responses; 
• Transcriptions generated from the audio; 
• AI-generated outputs, including a transcript, response summaries, and competency assessments; and 
• technical data necessary to conduct the interview (device type, browser, session duration).

How your data is used. Your responses are used to generate a transcript which is reviewed by AI to provide the hiring team at Jobber with signals on whether the transcript demonstrates the competencies specified by Jobber for the role. The specific competencies assessed will vary by role and are determined by Jobber. The competency summaries are available to the hiring team as one input alongside other application materials. The AI does not make the hiring decision. Hiring decisions are made by Jobber’s hiring team.

Integrity of the session. Jobber may use automated measures to help verify the integrity of interview sessions. These measures are informational only and do not by themselves determine the outcome of your interview.

Who has access. Your responses and the AI-generated assessments are accessible to authorized members of the hiring team at Jobber and our permitted service providers that process your data on our behalf in accordance with our policies.

Your rights. You may: 

• Request a copy of the data held about you
• Request deletion of your data
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Object to the processing of your data
• Request an explanation of how the AI assessment was generated

No guarantee of outcome. Participating in this interview does not guarantee any particular hiring outcome, progression in the process, or offer of employment.

During the interview. Please answer in your own words. Using another person, a second device, or AI tools or other third-party assistance to generate your answers during the interview is not permitted and may be flagged for review by the hiring team.
