A Better Job Creation Experience Is Coming
Starting July 22, we’re rolling out an updated job creation experience in Jobber. You’ll notice a refreshed layout right away, along with a brand-new feature: the ability to create multiple visits for one-off jobs.
Why we’re making this change
For a long time, creating a one-off job with multiple visits meant a lot of manual work: set up each visit separately, one at a time. We heard from many of you that this was eating up valuable time, especially for jobs that span multiple days or weeks.
We redesigned the job creation screen specifically to fix this. The new layout makes room to be able to add multiple visits for one-off jobs while also making the overall experience cleaner and easier to use. Now, it’ll be much easier to schedule the actual work upfront.
Built with and validated by service pros
We partnered with thousands of Jobber Labs beta users to make this experience better. Here’s what some of those service pros had to say after using it in their businesses:
What’s changing
All changes are on the Job Create screen, in the Schedule section.
New look for one-off and recurring job creation
Both the one-off and recurring job tabs have a refreshed layout. The same fields you know are all still there, with a few improvements:
- Checklists now appear below Visit Instructions, making them easier to find once you’ve entered the job details
- Fields are now arranged in a top-to-bottom flow instead of a two-column layout
- Fields are much easier to fill out
Create multiple visits for one-off jobs
Save time by creating one-off jobs with multiple visits in a single flow. Set visits across different days, weeks, or non-consecutive dates, and assign a team and details to each visit to accurately reflect the work to be done.
Add multiple visits at once
Create a one-off job with up to 20 visits in a single flow, and give each visit its own date, time, team, and details. No more saving the job first and adding visits one by one.
Select a range of dates, or add dates with breaks in between
Schedule visits across a continuous date range or pick non-consecutive dates with breaks in between—perfect for jobs that span multiple days, weeks, or only happen on specific days.
Add visit details
Apply the same details across all visits, or customize each one individually.
Schedule additional visits after a job is created
Scope changes happen. Whether it’s extra work added mid-job or a customer who needs more visits than originally planned, you can add a single visit or multiple visits to an existing one-off job at any time, no need to start over.
Automatically adjust visit dates
When you move a visit’s date, Jobber will suggest shifting all other visits by the same number of days. If your whole job needs to slide forward or back, one confirmation updates the entire schedule.
What’s being removed
The “Show Calendar” button in the job create screen is being removed. This button (which opened the calendar in a new tab) was used infrequently, and removing it made space for the new scheduling features.
Workaround: Right-click “Schedule” in the left-hand navigation → select “Open in new tab” to get the same result.
Keep the feedback coming
Thanks for all the real-world feedback you share with us—it’s guiding every improvement we are making.
